This park is great for 2 - 12 year olds. Older kids and teens love the skate park area and the shady pavilion that gives you good view of everything. The playground has a little like fence thing around most of it to keep the kids safe and contained. I agree about the rock climbing thing. Every time I go some kid gets stuck on top of it so keep that in mind if your child isn't 100% sure about it, encourage them NOT to go on it.
As for the playscape it is awesome, safe, and lots of fun. Go and see for yourself, I hope you have a great time!

Our 5 year old son absolutely loves this park and so do we. We first found this park after having to go to the township offices on 25 Mile. I had no clue it was up there, but saw the football fields and decided to investigate. There is a large play structure which is most appropriate for kids 5-12 years old. There are lots of slides, climbing devices including a large and small rock climbing wall, cute whimsical themes inside the play structure and so many other structures I can't even mention them all. There is also a smaller structure for younger children to play on. The thick rubber flooring under the play structures is so cushiony - it's almost like being on a trampoline...really comforting for a mom of an active kindergartener! My son's playgroup met at this park once and it was a great place to meet and play. The kids all loved it and when it was time for lunch we sat on one of the picnic tables under the pavilion (not a good idea if you have anyone allergic to bees as they seem to congregate under the pavilion!). There is also a little store to purchase drinks and treats like ice cream, etc. In addition to the children's play structures there is also a large football/soccer field, a hockey rink and I believe some softball/baseball diamonds as well. Highly recommended. One parent tip: Be wary of the higher rock climbing wall - it's REALLY high! My son got on top of it with my help and froze at the top of it and didn't want to come down he was so scared! I ended up having to climb to the top of it myself to rescue him!
