I love this nature center, and I am very sad to hear that the city may have to close it. This is the perfect place to get young kids interested in hiking as trails are short, and you are never far from your car.
Excellent nature walk, with a nature center filled with interesting, interactive exhibits and knowledgeable, friendly volunteers. I do much of my Christmas shopping at the gift shop, though they do not accept credit cards. HIGHLY recommended, but be sure to bring your insect repellent in the summer.
Over the years I've visited the Center with my nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and it has always been a relaxing, yet wondrous place to be. The staff is always warm and welcoming and I look forward to strolling the grounds whenever I'm in town.
