went to Magicopolis with my friends. I love this place. I walked in and went right to the bar and ordered some drinks and was waiting for the magic show. During the time we saw some really cool magic from the magical bartenders. I cant believe the show!!!!!!!! it was so amazing, a lady floating around the room. The magician Steve borrowed a my ring and link it to another persons in the show. I really did escape reality for about 2-3 hours. I have been telling my friends and family about this place. I will be back for sure. I even bought a trick for myself that I have been showing people, at their magic store. Everyone who works their is helpful and polite.

I had a great time at Magicopolis. The show was really good with a lot more in it than I expected. They did a lot of the “classic” stage magic, but made it all feel really fresh and funny. I laughed a lot. The lobby was a little crowded before the show, but that just added to the excitement of the night. I would definitely recommend their show for just about anyone.

I saw the Escape Reality show at the magicopolis theater of illusion and thought it was wonderful. The magic is LIVE and in your face. Highly recommend for all ages.

Magicopolis' Escape Reality is by far the most entertaining and engaging magic show I have ever attended. Throughout the show the amazing surprises and mind blowing feats keep even the most trained eye guessing, and the show never slows down! The performers' stage presence was absolutely fantastic! Walking out the theater I realized I had laughed just as many times as my jaw was left hanging open in dumbfounded shock. Even more amazing is the fact they I can bring my young niece along and not feel guilty. Magicopolis has created a family friendly show that still amazes. I will be going back.

OK, let me state this right off the bat. The show is amazing, and super charming. Steve the magician not only looks like a classic master of the dark arts but, has a rapier sharp Rickles like wit that is genuinely hilarious. His assistant/co-magician Elenoras routines are truly magical in a more sentimental and transportive way. This IS theatre in a way rarely found these days. Professional yet homemade and personal...I loved it!

I just had my son's Birthday party at Magicopolis in Santa Monica and I highly recommend it to any parent out there with children ages 4- 16. They made the whole day so easy I think the adults enjoyed themselves as much as the kids! The party included pizza, juice and cake for the kids and then I ordered extra catered food for the adults. I didn't have to set up or decorate anything they handled all of that beautifully and everything was ready the second we arrived. The kids and parents enjoyed a private magic class and then we all saw a 90 minute show. All of the Magicians and staff at Magicopolis were so great with the kids and I must admit the show was very entertaining for all of us adults as well. The illusions we saw were top notch not your average Birthday magician. He floated a lady off the ground, sawed someone in half, read peoples minds, linked my ring with other peoples in the audience, it was incredible. My son was also called onstage to particpate in one of the tricks. We all had such a memorable experience. I believe they do shows every weekend open to the public!

My wife and I saw the show at Magicopolis a few weeks ago and we had a great time as I'm sure the others in the audience did judging from their reactions.
This is definitely not your typical magic show. It's part theater, part stand-up comedy and a lot of great magic.

All in all, for the price, you can't beat this show for entertainment value. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys magic and comedic-theater.

I took my family to Magicopolis last summer (my daughter is at USC), and it was truly a blast. My kids range from 8 to 18 and they all enjoyed it immensely. The show was hilarious - with a capital H - in addition to being great magic. Afterwards the stars came out into the audience and visited with everyone. It was a great family experience. We would definitely go again next time we're in Santa Monica. My only complaint is that the show is not on DVD so we could take it home with us!

Magicopolis, this is truly one of those magical gems that reminds me of why I love living in Southern California. Where else could you find so much talent? I live in the magic city of Santa Clarita. Our magic is founded upon a mountain, Magic Mountain with it's rides and thrills. However there is another magic city and that is Magicopolis. I recently attended my niece (Kadyn') birthday at Magicopolis in Santa Monica California. As family and friends arrived we all gathered in the front lobby as one of the "magicians" was entertaining the kids doing a variety of magic tricks. All were readily available for purchase to any up and coming magician. Many magicians credit there love of magic as a result of seeing a particular magical feat that inspires there desire to perform Magic. Bozena Sparrow is no exception. She not only fell in love with the magical performance of Steve Spill but she fell in love with him as well (that's a whole other blog). Steve and Bozena envision opening other locations of Magicopolis like some of the better known comedy clubs. Just a subtle hint for another future location of Magicopolis Santa Clarita home of "Magic Mountain" The kids were enjoying every minute of this magic show as we waited for our turn to go to the "party room". The time had now arrived to enter the room. Here the kids ate pizza as the magician who minutes earlier was entertaining the group now became party host and server. I and other family and friends in attendance performed our own magic on the sandwiches and food making it all disappear. We sang Happy Birthday ate our cake and it must be time to go right? No, not quite it's time for the "Main Event" Well hidden towards the back of the building at Magicopolis is a full sized theatre with over a hundred seats! Steve Spill and his wife Bozena Sparrow took the stage and that is where the real magic took place. In today's world there are so many instant options for entertainment to distract us from life, Ipods, Television, etc.... A lot of talentless, meaningless forms of entertainment as well. It is refreshing to see live entertainment with notable talent. What a child experiences today in the first few years of life is what would have been a lifetime of entertainment for many in the not so distant past. It really takes true talent to keep our attention spans and to wow us these days. The show began and throughout the show there where moments for everyone (young and old). Finally a venue where I didn't have to cover my child's ears or eyes at a given moment (Family Entertainment for all ages) During the short breaks between performances there were moments when the curtains closed in which Bozena would share a one on one moment with the audience. For example in one of these instances she symbolically used a simple thread and candle to illustrate life's ups and downs and how to be happy when life has other plans for you. This was one of many similar "memorable" moments shared between Steve, Bozena, the birthday girl, and audience that afternoon. Yours truly was asked to assist in the performance and it seems no matter what venue I attend I end up in the show. I have never willingly volunteered, today was no exception. I was asked to pick a card and show it to the audience place it back in the deck and Steve (Magician) would know which one it was. After a few moments I realized I had been "had" It got a great laugh with those in attendance, but it also symbolized the story of my life. Many times throughout my life I have been looking for something elsewhere when it was right in front of me all along. You'll know what I mean when you see this trick at the show. That's life in the"Magic" city. These two very talented individuals put on a great and entertaining show. The performance is refreshing and unique. Who would of thought and hour and a half of magic would be so profound and thought provoking. The magic is what you leave with. That folks is part of the magic of Magicopolis. The only negative I have personally experienced here is I was given promotional tickets verbally at "will call" to invite friends and family to the show. To my surprise those tickets disappeared (not part of the act) the night of the show. If a corporate event is booked for the same night as your promotional tickets you may find yourself having to explain to your guests why they are unable to attend the show. That's when your forced to do your own song and dance show. So stay clear from verbal promotions unless you can perform magic yourself. May the source be with you
