I know someone that worked there and told me that all the employees would vote multiple times everyday to win the parents connect award by resetting their computer browsers so they could vote more than one time a day. That really disgusts me.

Beware that if your child has trouble warming up to the very loud music and cries on the first class, you will not only be kicked out of the class but you will have to return the CD or be charged for it. Bear in mind this is for crying on the first class. I have worked in the children's music education field (small that it is) and I've never encountered the kind of nastiness and lack of professionalism that we were shown. I don't recommend signing up for a program for very young children that cannot condone tears.

makin music is a great way to teach and interact with young children. the kids really enjoy the music as well. week after week, the children learn new songs and a variety of rhymes and chants and the music is new with every different semester. i would recommend this program to any family with young children as a way to introduce them to the world of music

wow! just finished our first session and have signed my little one up for the next one. loved all the upbeat music and props they used. great, friendly atmosphere. we both look forward to it!

I have been bringing my daughter Kira and son Nicholas to Chris and Cindy's Thursday evening classes for two years. My kids have a great time. I enjoy spending time with them and watching the joy they have each week.

If you love music, then you'll love Makin' Music! The song writing is outstanding - great melodies, inspirational, educational, and down-right fun! - and the instructors are great musicians who make us feel right at home. For six years, our kids have eagerly anticipated Wednesday's 7pm class. We love Makin' Music!

My son is four years old, and we began Makin' Music in Springfield when he was three and have attended about four sessions. From a programmatic standpoint, Makin' Music is incredible - the music is just terrific, and the instruments and format of the class help to build so much in my son's brain it's incredible. He's got the rhythm! More importantly, however, are the ambassadors of the Makin' Music concepts - our teachers. Each and every child is special to them and genuinely so. My son and I look forward to our classes like you can't imagine. We talk about "our" teachers like they are part of our family, and I suppose that in many ways, they are.

My family has been enjoying Makin' Music classes for years. My husband and I bring my four-year-old and 15-month-old daughters to Chris and Cindy's evening class at the Springfield location. My girls love it and so do we. We sing and dance and play instruments together, and with our busy lives, it is a great opportunity to enjoy each other and have fun. The teachers are fun and enthusiastic and genuinely love the kids. The classroom is always clean and safe. I recommend Makin' Music to every mom I know.

I've been attending the Pajama Jam class for almost five years (first with only one child and now two). For those of you not familiar with the class, there are two teachers. One plays the guitar but they both sing the lyrics to the fun loving songs. We are given a CD on the first night of class to play at home or in the car). The class lasts about 45 minutes. We start every session with a "hello" song addressing each and every child's name and end with a lullaby and "good bye" song. During the class, we shake eggs to the music, clap sticks together, bang on bongos, play with a parachute, etc. It varies from week to week. But everything is so organized; the teachers segue from one song/prop to another without missing a beat. I've never seen them consult a paper to see what comes next and that just amazes me. They even have songs for when the kids are putting one prop away and getting the next one out! Everyone respects the rules in the classroom (no food, running or chit chat) and we just sit back and enjoy ourselves. I have read both the negative and positive comments listed here. I personally do not agree with the negative comments. Our teachers get along great. We've never switched our session time just because we want these 2 teachers. Maybe the room in Springfield is not sterile, but it is not dirty. We attend events and story hours at libraries in Delaware County (Springfield, Radnor, Marple, and Media) and I'd rank the room at or above most of those places. There are about 15 kids (plus parents) there; no place can be immaculate.

I took this program with my son last semester. I can't speak for their other schools, but we attended the one in Springfield and found it be overcrowded and dirty. I got the impression that the teachers didn't even like each other. I think it's funny that all the positive reviews here are written by people with the same names as the teachers. They should stop tooting their own horns. They are hitting a sour note.

I am a new mom who doesn't get out much! I have met some moms and kids at Makin' Music and now we all go out to lunch after class. The teachers are so encouraging to me and are really fun to sing and play with. I'll definitely be back next semester!

I have taken my children to a few music classes over the years and Makin Music is the best by far!! The music is child AND adult friendly. The cirriculum is fun, engaging, and my kids have LEARNED how to STOP before crossing the street, etc. The teachers are a gas, like you've known them your entire life. You're part of the "family." Give them a try, you and your kids will have the time of your life!! Necie

Yeah for Makin' Music! Finally, a program that allows me to bring all four of my children to one great class! The music and teachers are so great and my five- year-old loves it as much as the one-year-old. I think I like it the best!

My grandchildren have been participating in Makin' Music classes for four years, and we all look forward to every class! Fun, great music and enthusiastic teachers are the reasons this has been something we take their classes over and over and over again. AWESOME FUN!

We've been attending music classes from another organization in addition to Makin' Music and I can say that I'm not very impressed with how they teach. First, they start until 10 minutes after the set time so we end up having only 30 minutes left to enjoy the class. The other music class we go to starts 10 minutes before the set time to give the kids a warm up and a heads up for early comers so we were used to arriving early. I feel like 10 minutes is wasted time waiting for the rest to come in Makin' Music. The teachers chatter at each other and it's a waste of time. The second time we were there, the teachers still haven't perfected the lyrics and the tunes! This is unexcusable and it's distracting!
