About Marbles Kids Museum
The winner of our 2008 and 2009 Parents' Picks quests to find the best day camp and best museum for little kids in Raleigh/Durham, Marbles Kids Museum is an interactive museum with core exhibits that demonstrate the connections between the people of the world through culture, global trade, the environment, and communications.
The current museum was created by the merger of the Exploris and Playspace children's facilities.
Marbles offers educational programs for adults and school children, cultural performances each weekend, and traveling exhibits.
The museum is also home to an IMAX theater and a middle school.
A camp program runs all year and is available during teacher workdays, after school, and summer. Camp programs are open to preschoolers (ages three to five), elementary kids (grades K-5), and middle schoolers (grades 6-8) and include museum access, an IMAX film, and plenty of time spent being active and creative.
Birthday party packages start at $195 for up to 15 children, and include the use of a private Birthday Party Room, time on the museum floor, and a free pass to the museum for future use for each attending child. Members receive a 10% discount.
Family Membership starts at $100/year.
