This large Eastside park features a little something for everyone and draws visitors from all over the region. The park includes the only velodrome in the state; an off-leash dog area; a climbing rock; an airplane flying field; picnicking and fishing areas; paths for strolling; playing fields and tennis courts; great birdwatching; and the historic Willowmoor Farm.
A new
Pet Garden adjacent to the off-leash dog area provides a place where families can celebrate their pets - whether living, lost, or deceased.
The
Marymoor Velodrome Association hosts bicycle racing at the site and offers free racing classes for kids. The 45-foot climbing rock is located next to the velodrome.
Three picnic shelters are available for rent, and over one hundred picnic tables are located throughout the park. Kids can run in the open meadows, or play on one of two climbing structures. Look for paths - including an interpretive
wetland boardwalk - and a large number of undeveloped areas where birders will find belted kingfisher, great blue heron, ruby-crowned kinglets, two species of owls, and raptors.
The
Marymoor Amphitheater books summertime concerts; although most of the artists appeal to adults, the setting is kid-friendly and easy to navigate with children.
