About Mathnasium
Mathnasium, the 2009 Parents' Picks winner for Best Tutor in Kansas City, offers afterschool classes to help kids improve their math skills. Programs are offered for Pre-K through grade 12.
As with a gym membership, students pay a monthly fee and take as many classes as they like. In addition to independent computer work, children "work out" under direct supervision and receive periodic progress reports.
Fees vary by location but are comparable to or less than normal tutoring costs, depending upon how many classes a child chooses to take.
