McGinty's Public House151

Over the last several years, my wife & I have eaten many times at McGinty's, in Silver Spring. We just stopped in this evening, 27 March, for dinner & a beer. We ordered onion rings (ours), fish & chips (mine) and a Mediterranean platter (hers).

The onion rings came out with salt on them; something I did not request. My fish & chips came out with the breading being crispy on the outside, soggy inside and the fish inedible. The replacement order was overdone and inedible.

My wife requested that the pita bread accompanying her Mediterranean platter not be fried; when the platter arrived,there was no pita--she got tortilla chips instead. The pita bread finally did arrive--two-thirds of the way through her meal.

We were told by the bartender that the pub has a new chef. If you have plans to go to McGinty's in Silver Spring, you might want to take that into consideration.
