I am not sure what happens on Saturday at Meadowood gymnastics and I realize that I am fortunate to be able to bring my daughter during the week to activities. But I have to say that my daughter is a huge fan of Miss Lisa! Lisa has always given the utmost attention, support and direction to all of the students in her class. She is always upbeat, energetic and available to help me and my daughter through all the instructions for each excercise. I am no longer in the class with my daughter but even at 4 years old my daughter can follow the directions Miss Lisa gives. She may stray from time to time but I have never witnessed a class that was "out of control" or not being tended to by Miss Lisa. My daughter very much looks forward to gymnastics every Monday. She also loves Miss Jill and Miss Lynn in her preschool (Miss Jellybean too). The opportunity for her to interact with other kids, learn in a structured setting and enjoy some independence outside of her daily home routine is wonderful. Everyone I have encountered at Meadowood Recreation Center is thoughtful, kind, professional and works hard to give me and my daughter the learning opportunities and skill sets that we are looking for without having to pay a fortune for some pompous name. The saying is: You get what you pay for, however I feel Meadowood Recreation Center has gone above and beyond to give me more and my daughter loves going there. What a better way to learn that to be excited about where you are going. Thanks Meadowood Staff.

I agree with the previous poster. The Little Gyms class is chaotic, and while the instructor is nice, she does the same thing every week and doesn't really interact with the students. You can't hear much of what she says, and when she demonstrates the activity (if she does), it's not effective- she either doesn't do the move fully or does it once or twice for the 3 yr olds. Developmentally, they need more instruction and examples.

My kiddos grew bored very quickly of the class because of the lack of structure and the lack of creativity. It is a fraction of the price of other gyms, but we decided it would be more fun and just as beneficial to take them to the park for an hour every Saturday morning.

I'm less than impressed by the instructor for Little Gyms and the room at this rec center. There are about 5 other classes going on at the same time as my daughters. You can't hear any instructions. Kids are distracted and running all over the place. By the 3rd - 4th class you have an idea of what they should be doing. After this Little Gyms is over we will be finding another place for my daughter to go. There is just way too much going on in this small gym to have all the classes at once.

My husband can't come and watch. There is a small window upstairs for families to see; however, this small window is at the end of a hallway and kids are constantly running up/down the stairs and through the hallway. No supervision from what I see.

For the older kids, I think it would be better. Older kids can't have the parents in the room with them. (They use the small window upstairs too!) Younger kids have parents with them. The teacher doesn't really work with the kids - the parents are doing it. I like helping my child; but I am not a gymnastics instructor. For the $70 I�m paying for my daughter to attend once a week, I think they should improve their classes.

The one good thing my daughter got out of the class was energy.
