One of eight indoor pools operated by Seattle Parks and Recreation, and located near
Garfield Community Center,
Evers Pool offers a wide array of programs for all ages. Special features include a one-meter diving board, a rope swing, and two family changing rooms. At the pool entrance is a ceramic mosaic of slain civil rights leader Medgar Evers, crafted by members of Coyote Junior High, a nonprofit arts program for teens. Group lessons are offered for students ages three-17; summer swim league is for swimmers ages six-17. Private lessons are also available.
Family swim time is offered on Saturdays from 10am-11am and 3pm-4pm.
Public swim sessions are Mon-Fri 1:30pm-2:30pm (until 2:50pm in summer) and Sat 1:30pm-2:50pm; Mon, Wed, Fri 6:30pm-8pm; and shallow only Mon-Thu 4pm-5pm and Fri 4pm-5:30pm.
