Note: Age is 3 and up not 2. Very pleasant to speak with on the phone and they do offer a summer class that children about to turn 3 in the fall can join.

Miss Melva, and all the teachers are really nice. You get to know them, and they are like your best friend now. Everyone makes you feel comfortable when you mess up. She doesn't get mad, and she helps you get the step right when you mess up. I am fifthteen years old, and I've been dancing there ever since. It makes you feel free and you meet alot of new friends.

I am about to start my 10th year at Ms. Melva's. Since the start (age 3) I have always enjoyed being at the studio. I have tried almost every class they offer, and have loved every minute of every one. Not only have I been taught how to point my feet and tap my toes, but I have learned to be more self confident. The main things all of the teachers try to impress upon their students are teamwork and friendship. Whenever you walk into the studio you are greeted with a smile. We all have become great friends and love working together. I have tried different camps and workshops at other studios, but nothing has even come close to how great Ms. Melva's is. I am very proud to be a dancer there.

In about two weeks I will complete my tenth year of dancing with Miss.Melva at the Coppell studio. Not only Miss.Melva but her whole staff is amazing including her daughter Mrs.Rachel. Every teacher there is dedicated and amazing at what they do. Some people say the studio is for young beginner dancers that is not true! I have learned so much from Miss.Melva and Mrs.Rachel. They not only teach you to dance in a phenominal way but they teach you life lessons too. And I am always so proud of Mrs.Rachel because when we go dance competitions we are not the group that is there that is way undressed or the dancing is well exposed. This studio also helps you bond with others and I have great best friends from years of dancing. This studio does not pick favorites or make you feel like one girl is better thatn you its all a pretty much equal playing field. Melva's is my second home and I would not give it up for the world. My daughter started with Miss Melva at age 3. We've just completed our first year in her ballet/tap combo class and I was amazed at what the girls had learned and how well they all did in their fabulous recital at the Majestic Theater. Miss Melva teaches much more than dance steps...she teaches these little girls to act, sit, and treat each other as little ladies should. Her famous saying of, "if your shoe falls off you just keep on dancing!" goes far beyond the meaning it has within the dance studio. When she says, "if you fall down you just get right back up and keep going" teaches our girls some of the most basic ideas they need to succeed in life, not just dance. Miss Melva loves dance, but she also loves our children and I plan to keep my daughter enrolled with her as long as she's intersted in any form of dance, as Melva has so much to offer!
