With the San Gabriel Mountains looming above and the surrounding bustle of picturesque, small-town life, Sierra Madre's Memorial Park is a delightful place to find a shady spot and let the kids hit the playground, which features unusual play equipment and a sandbox with "diggers" that kids can operate.

The park is often the center of city cultural life, acting as the site for the annual Wistaria Festival, as well as outdoor concerts and film, which take place at the park's band shell.

The park also holds the city's Senior Center, the Veteran's Memorial (often called the Weeping Wall), a covered pavilion for picnicking, tennis courts, and a colorful garden tended by community members.
