about Merriweather Post Pavilion:
Many artists stop at Merriweather Post Pavilion as part of their summer concert tours. Opened in 1967, the venue was designed by the world-renowned architect Frank Gehry, who is best known for defying architectural conventions. He accepted the challenge of developing a design that would least disturb the natural topography of the surrounding Symphony Woods. The pavilion's acoustics are considered by many in the industry to be the best among outdoor venues.
tips:
Shows go on rain or shine, so if you have lawn seats, bring a piece of plastic to put under your blanket to keep it from getting wet. Tickets are not refunded in the event of rain.
getting there:
Take the Beltway (I-495) to 95 North towards Baltimore (approximately 18 miles) to Route 32 towards Columbia to Route 29 north. Take Broken Land Parkway (exit 18B) and take the first right into the Merriweather parking lot.
