Research-based
Music Together curriculum builds on a child's natural enthusiasm for music and movement. The program provides kids with the basic musical skills needed to enjoy school and social musical activities, and to study an instrument later on should he or she choose to do so.
Because all children are special,
Music Together - winner of our
2009 Parents' Picks award for best local music class - welcomes children with special needs. Classes are specifically designed for mixed ages, so each child, no matter where he or she is developmentally, fits in.
Weekly, 45-minute classes include songs, rhythmic rhymes, movement, and instrument play. These activities are presented as informal, non-performance-oriented musical experiences - developmentally appropriate for children and easy for parents and caregivers - regardless of their own musical ability.
Tuition includes a CD, casette tape, songbook, and activity suggestions for parents. There are 9 song collections and 3 summer collections that are rotated over a three year cycle. Every semester there is new music.
Classes are held in multiple locations. For more information about schedules and tuition, please call or check out the website.
