The
Mill B North Fork Trail to Overlook is a medium to hard 2.6 mile (round trip) hike with an elevation gain of 800 feet. The magic of this hike is in the rocky outcroppings, with drops of almost 600 feet that offer
spectacular views of Big Cottonwood Canyon.
The trail starts out steep and sunny, but you might feel a bit of a chill as you wander along Big Cottonwood Creek for a distance, and wander through the shade of the forest canopy. You may encounter wildlife, including deer or hummingbirds, along the way. At a slow pace, and with rest stops along the way, even younger members of the family can easily do this hike.
Restroom facilities are available at the additional parking area located at the bottom of the "S-turn", which is also where the trailhead for the
Mill B Interpretive Trail is.
