Since 1978, Mimi's Cafe has served breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a French/New Orleans-style twist. Its bright, open, bistro-like decor is comfortable and inviting. It offers a pretty extensive menu, from intriguing omelettes to pasta, burgers, fish, and steak. Prices range from $4 to $12. Desserts are Nu Awlins style, with such delicacies as Warm Chocolate Praline Bars, New Orleans Bread Pudding, and Bananas Foster Cheesecake. Le Menu Pour Les Enfants is for kids ages 12 and under. Choose meals like Mimi Mouse Pancakes, Wacky Waffles, Macaroni and Cheese, or Corn Puppies-Mini Corn Dogs. All come with fries, fruit, or "smashed" potatoes and milk or Coke for $3.95. Booster seats and high chairs are available for small children. Reservations are always accepted. Mimi's eagerly reaches out to kids by participating in various school programs, including the Student Recognition Program honoring students for various accomplishments with achievement awards, and the Scrip Program, which helps raise money for local schools. Mimi's serves as a sponsor for various athletic and performing arts programs as well, and is happy to donate a meal or two for school fundraisers and raffles.
