The Minnesota State Fairgrounds is best known as the site of The Great Minnesota Get-Together, held each year over the 12 days leading up to Labor Day. But throughout the year, the numerous exhibition halls, large Coliseum, animal barns and Grandstand that line the streets on the grounds host other conventions, exhibitions, and events.
getting there:
The main entrance year-round is on Snelling at Dan Patch Avenue, but there are other entrances off Larpenteur, Como, and Cleveland. There's tons of parking available on streets and in lots; whether it's free depends on the event.
