about Minuteman Bikeway:

The Minuteman Bikeway is an 11-mile "rail to trail" bike path that takes you through Cambridge, Arlington, Lexington, and Bedford. When biking through Lexington, be sure to check out the Lexington Common. This is the site of the first battle of the American Revolution, fought on April 19, 1775.

Just a reminder: Massachusetts state law requires that all bikers under the age of 13 must wear a helmet.

getting there:

You can begin near the Alewife T stop on the Red Line, Rte 60 and Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington, or in Lexington Center.
