Cliffs and waterfalls surround the huge pool, a volcano show wows the crowds, and dolphins live here - what more could a kid want?
The Mirage Hotel brings a South Seas vibe to the Strip. Its Atrium, just beyond the resort entrance, stands 90 feet high and features a variety of palm trees and flora, including 500 bromeliads and orchids. A computerized misting system produces hazy tropical rain forest atmosphere.
The hotel's Aquarium houses sea creatures guests (nearly 1,000 of them) in one of the most elaborate and technically advanced aquariums in the world; top aquarium design experts collaborated to enhance the 53-foot-by-8-foot display.
Rooms do not include microwaves or refrigerators, although for a small fee, you can get a refrierator; portable cribs can also be obtained for a fee. The site houses several family-oriented restaurants, including the California Pizza Kitchen and the lively Caribe Café.
