The intersection of Mission Street and Meridian Avenue in South Pasadena has seen lots of changes in recent years, thanks largely to the arrival of the
Mission Street Station that serves
MetroRail's Gold Line.
Long-time family favorite
Buster's Coffee & Ice Cream is still here - thank goodness - but it's been joined by
new businesses and boutiques, including Petal Floral Boutique,
Heirloom Bakery & Cafe, Organic Rush,
Abuelita's Knitting and Needlepoint, and
Bellini.
Just up the street from the intersection,
Amy's Playground offers great entertainment for little ones.
Kids enjoy visiting the Mission Street Station and watching the trains whiz by; there is a
small grassy area and plaza, mature shade trees, a rose garden, and public art. Every Thursday, the train station gets enveloped in the festivities of the
Mission West Farmers' Market.
