I have never seen anyone hungover at the studio! Wow I am so shocked by that negative review. This is in no way representative of the studio. I would not spend money at a studio unless I believe it was teaching my daughter great tools to become the best dancer she can be! The teachers are VERY talented. The owner carefully picks her staff. The teachers are fair, tough but caring. Exactly what you need when learning something.
There are so many levels and classes at the studio which is nice because if you pick carefully you will see improvement very quickly in your child.
As far as costumes and recitals. My family and friends were so surprised by how professional and beautiful the recital was. It is something they look forward to every June.

The studio has a little store upstairs which makes it convenient to get clothing and shoes. It has parking behind and you can valet too for free. Prices are typical for a dance studio and you get a good discount for multiple class or siblings. Overwall. We have been very happy. This studio compared to other seems more down to Earth in my opinion.

...about MnR Dance Factory, the studio is modern, the staff is talanted and experienced, the prices are competitive and the studio offers an array of classes for toddlers and kids who just want to have fun as well as a competitive team option for more serious dancers and adult classes as well. Everyone will feel welcome, and the owner and manager are very nice. This is a great place, you wont find a better dance studio in the area.

My daughter just completed her first year at MNR and I completely disagree with the below comment. We've attended other studios in the area and by far this is our favorite. After our first trial class my daughter was so excited to return and the rest of the semester fulfilled our hopes. The teachers were nuturing and fun but professional and really cared about the kids on a personal level. Every week my daughter looked forward to attending class and learning new moves. The recital far exceeded what I would expect from a children's studio and the older dancers illustrated the technique and calliber of the studio. We will definitely be returning in the fall.

I have been dancing at MNR Dance Factory for 5 years. I have learned a lot and have greatly improved. The teaching staff not only teaches us dance but they also teach us important life lessons. MNR is like a second home to me and i love being there.

I have been dancing at MNR Dance Factory since i could stand up. It has been 12 years since i started and i am not even close to being finished. MNR has not only created opportunities for me over the years but helped me improve greatly as a dancer and as a person. I have developed friendships and skills that i will continue to value for years to come. MNR is an overall great environment for growing kids who have an interest in dance.

MnR is a breath of fresh air. I have been to many dance studios in the area and they have a special knack for knowing how to handle all levels of young dancers with encouragement. I read another review of someone and they must have been upset about something, because I just have not seen that side of MnR. Our girls have blossomed and enjoy the time the spend at MnR.

...children to mnr for 7 years and they were voted BEST OF LOS ANGELES 2007 for a reason.....they are the BEST! i strongly disagree with the opinions expressed in the previous review. i wouldn't think of taking my children anywhere else. the teachers are nuturing and professional and the studio itself is beautiful. here's to another great year at mnr! kristen lyons-mcfarlane

My daughter took two sessions of ballet & tap and MNR. The first session was okay -- it was good enough to continue on to the next session and better than other classes we had tried in the area, but definitely not great. The second session was pretty much a disaster. The teacher was consistently late and always seemed hungover. There was also alot of wasted time during class -- finding the music, locating the props, and playing games such as freeze dance which were too childish for most of the girls (ages 6-7). The music was way too loud and the girls were not challenged to improve their dancing. Work on the dance for the recital was started too late in the session and the dance itself was ridiculously easy, but the teacher failed to write down what she choreographed, so it would change from week to week. Add to that pricey costumes that didn't have any bearing on the music or the dance and the result was a recital that was disappointing at best. We certainly won't be continuing on and recommend looking elsewhere for quality lessons.
