"Welcome to Moe's!" greets every person who walks through the door at Moe's Southwest Grill - a faster, friendlier burrito-focused version of a Subway.
The atmosphere is definitely casual, and usually busy, especially during lunch. A huge menu board lists everything that's available, and all of the items - from the Homewrecker burrito to the Full Monty taco - are named with a touch of humor.
Food isn't anything fancy, but it's all fresh and filled to the brim of your tortilla. Choose from black or pinto beans and chicken, steak, or tofu for most menu items. Burritos, tacos, and quesadillas are the most popular, but Moe's also offers salads and a "Bare Naked" burrito - essentially a burrito without the tortilla and the chips that accompany all of the meals.
Kids menu items include Puff the Magic Dragon tacos, Moo Moo Mr. Cow burrito, and the Mini-Me cheese quesadilla.
A salsa bar "tops" everything off, and offers everything from mild toppings - the green tomato is your best bet - to hot additions.
High chairs are available, and the music is usually loud enough to cover any outbursts from kids. There are restrooms inside the restaurant, but many of them only have a single restroom for men and one for women - none with changing tables.
Sign the kids up for Moe's Kids' Birthday Club online - there they can learn fun facts about birthdays and play games. Registered kids receive a birthday greeting for a free Kid's Meal to redeem the week of his or her birthday, and occasional offers by email.
