about Monongahela Incline:

The Monongahela Incline, a funicular or incline railway, has provided public transportation to the Mount Washington area since May 1870. Pittsburgh's Monongahela Incline and Duquesne Incline are two of only a few remaining inclines in the country.

The Monongahela Incline offers fantastic views overlooking one of the world's great cityscapes, and a tourist experience that is uniquely Pittsburgh.
