We had a very bad experience at the Floating ice skating rink @ the Montelago Village Resort.
We got there around 8pm, excited to skate. It is hard to find ice in the desert so we were more than happy to drive 35 mins to get there from Summerlin.

We arrived and paid $15.00 each ( Three of us). We put on our skates and got on the ice. It was absolutely horrible. It felt like skating on rocks. The ice needed to be Zamboni'ed (SP) bad. After 2 times around the ice, we went back to the counter to ask to have them clean the ice. The two that were working there (brother and sister) promptly cleaned their fingers off from eating popcorn and other snacks behind the counter. They said that they were tired of having people complain about the quality of the ice, that they had cleaned it 2x tonight and that they were not going to do it again 1 hour before they closed. I said that since we could not skate on the ice, we would like a refund. They were rude and unhelpful. They referred me to call the owner. ( Turns out to be their dad) He was belittling and childish on the phone, would not refund the money, using terms like " you dont get to try before you buy" and "Good luck with posting bad reviews, I dont like threats" All we wanted was a refund because we could not use the ice and we did not have a good time. I did not appreicate paying $45.00 for 5 mins of ice skating. DO NOT GO here. It's not worth your drive out there. The rink is NO bigger than 1/4 of a basketball court and they do not even Zamboni it for $15.00 a person.
