A traditional Montessori school that follows curriculum set by Maria Montessori more than one hundred years ago, Montessori Visions Academy uses daily tasks, classroom manipulatives, and teacher guidance to teach preschool and elementary-school children. Classrooms are multi-age here, allowing students to learn from a range of peers. Children can enroll at age two and a half as long as they're toilet trained. Extracurricular activities take place after school and include American Sign Language classes, dance/gymnastics, French and Spanish instruction, karate, and choir. Weekly themes form the structure of the school's Summer Camp, which typically runs from mid-June to late August. Culinary Arts Camp, Astronomy Camp, and Ocean Camp are just some of nifty themes that campers anticipate.
