Stretching along Lake Shore Drive from Montrose to Wilson Avenues, a six-lane boat launch provides fast entry to the lake for a boat ride or jet ski.

Fishing is a favorite pasttime at Montrose Beach, and the pier and a bait shop are both within walking distance of the beach.

Wilson Skate Park awaits only a few blocks away.

Families with young children especially enjoy the small playground. But additional opportunities for fun include facilities for beach volleyball, seven soccer fields, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, bike racks and an equestrian trail.

During soccer season on the weekends, the leagues take over. But, there are plenty of bleachers and restrooms to accommodate.

Multiple water fountains along the beach and in the park.

Lifeguards keep watch from about Memorial Day to Labor Day.

And... dogs are allowed.
