Morton Community Park features an outdoor pool, drop water slide, water spray park, a picnic pavilion, playground, basketball courts and skatepark for inline and skateboard use. Our favorite feature is the spray park, where, from Memorial Day through Labor Day, preschool-age and older children can enjoy wet play (for free!). The spray park is located by the entrance to Morton Pool. Two water cannons soak (and elicit squeals from) kids; several other spray devices keep them shrieking. Children can activate the sprays by themselves, but children must be supervised at all times in the spray area. What we love most: it's free! Morton Park also offers direct access to walking trails and the Mentor Marsh State Nature Preserve, which is directly across the street. For pool or pavilion rental information, call 440.974.5720.
