A national model for youth development through the arts,
Mosaic Youth Theatre provides accessible theater and music training for metropolitan Detroit youth, ages six to 18, reaching more than 1,000 young artists per year.
The organization was selected as one of the top 10 youth arts programs in the country by the National Education Association; named as the best-managed nonprofit by
Crain's Detroit Business in 2006; was sent as the sole U.S. representative to the World Youth Theatre Festival in London, England, in 2000; and has opened for such artists as Al Green, Aretha Franklin, Pete Seeger, and the Temptations.
Mosaic currently performs at the Detroit Film Theatre at the
Detroit Institute of Arts.
