Mount Ida College hosts the Mt. Ida Summer Day Camp, situated on the school's 85-acre campus. It considers itself a traditional camp whose mission is to "strengthen gross and fine motor skills, self-confidence, and the social development of each camper." Activities include sports, music, drama, arts and crafts, and more. The program emphasizes use of its two outdoor pools, offering swim instruction at all levels.
The camp is accredited by the American Camping Association. Extended day options are available.
From Route 128: Take Route 9 east toward Newton and Boston. Proceed on Route 9 for approximately three miles. Take the Parker Street exit. At the top of the exit ramp, take a right (toward West Roxbury). Follow Parker Street to the end. Turn left onto Dedham Street. After one mile, look for a fire station on your right. Just beyond the fire station on your right is Carlson Avenue, which is the entrance to Mt. Ida College.
