Mud Island River Park provides a full day's worth of both indoor and outdoor activities, with the Mississippi River Museum, hike and bike trails, canoeing and kayaking, pedal boats, and a monorail ride over the harbor.
The park's River Walk is a winding, five-block-long replica of the Mississippi River itself, ending at the "Gulf of Mexico" - an enclosed area that holds over one million gallons of water, where visitors can enjoy a leisurely pedal boat ride with the Memphis skyline in the background.
The 5,000-seat outdoor Mud Island Amphitheatre is set along the banks of the Mississippi River and hosts a full season of live concerts.
