Municipal Park covers 28 acres of land and features picnic sites, a softball field, and a large playground. The park has lots of mature trees, offering plenty of shade during the hot summer months. Dogs are not allowed.
Municipal Park's playground is one of the city's largest and most popular playgrounds. It is best suited for children ages two to twelve, and features a variety of slides and climbing structures.
The 22.5-mile Greenbelt path runs through the park along the banks of the Boise River.
The picnic shelters can be rented for private functions. Call 208.384.4228 for reservations.
The park is located right by the MK Nature Center.
