As you enter the Murray Library you'll find the children's section on your right. Children's nonfiction books are here, separate from the adult non-fiction. Lots of tables and chairs are around, and study rooms are available for older children working on group projects for school. The library has an impressive and well-organized collection of children's DVDs and videos.
A story pit is located near the large bay window, with a huge soft-sculpture mother and child dragon hanging from the ceiling over it. This is where storytimes are held, and at other times a basket of story books is in the center for children to pick from and read.
Teen books and magazines are along the back wall, past the children's section.
Internet-access computers are in the center against the back wall.
Murray Library offers many programs for children, including a Reading Rocks book club for kids in grades fourth through sixth. The club meets on the fourth Monday of each month, and books are provided free of charge to the members. Check the library's website for other children's programs offered at the Murray Library.
