The Museum Campus, maintained by the Chicago Park District, is a lakefront park connecting the Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum, the Field Museum and the John G. Shedd Aquarium. The 57 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds and stunning view of the Chicago skyline make walking between the museums a true pleasure.
getting there:
Located on Lake Shore Drive at Roosevelt Road. Easily reached by public transportation or by car. Via CTA, #146, #12 and #6 stop at the Campus. Via Metra, or South Shore get off at the Roosevelt Road stop and walk east. Via car, get off Lake Shore Drive at Roosevelt. Follow the signs to the Museum Campus. Park in one of several lots, $7 for 12 hours, or park at a meter along Solidarity Drive. Parking lots are open from 5am to 8pm in the summer; from 6am in winter. A free trolley will transport you from the parking lot or the bus stop to the museums.
