Whether it's an outing for you with baby-in-tow, or an unusual experience for your older children, the
Museum of Contemporary Art is a special place. The exhibits speak to unique themes, as each artist uses his or her medium (painting, sculpture, photography, video and film, and performance) to tell a story about contemporary society.
Located in a new building near the historic
Water Tower in the heart of downtown Chicago, the
MCA boasts a gift store, bookstore, restaurant, 300-seat theater, and a terraced sculpture garden with a great view of Lake Michigan.
Classes for kids and teens and free family workshops make the
MCA a favorite place. See our
calendar for event information.
At
Sunday Brunch, families can enjoy delicious specialties created by Wolfgang Puck, while overlooking the MCA sculpture garden and Lake Michigan. Brunch is served from 11am-3pm.
The
MCA has wheelchair-accessible entrances, elevators, and rest rooms. A limited number of wheelchairs and
baby strollers are available for checkout.
Family Memberships are available, and start at $75/year.
