about Museum of Life and Science:

The Museum of Life and Science offers visitors hands-on experiences learning about aerospace, weather, geology, Carolina wildlife, and farming. The Ellerbee Creek Railway offers train rides every 30 minutes (for an additional $2), and the Bayer CropScience Insectarium provides close-up time with some creepy crawlies.

In the museum's Loblolly Park, kids can make music with drums and bells, climb a multi-level play structure, and experiment with the playful potential of water, while in the Tree House they can observe bees making honey and feel bear fur.

The coup de grace, however, is the Magic Wings Butterfly House, in which hundreds of exotic butterflies flutter through rainforest trees, feeding on vibrant tropical flowers and gliding over a flowing stream. The conservatory maintains a balmy tropical climate that keeps the colorful inhabitants happy.

The museum's Grayson's Cafe features on-site dining with indoor and outdoor seating. The seasonal menu offers an array of sandwiches and wraps, soups, salads, and desserts, plus lots of options for kids, including meal deals featuring chicken tenders, pizza, sandwiches, burgers plus a drink and side.

The Museum offers sumer camp programs for kids.
