My daughter, Annabel, now three yrs old has been taking classes at MKI since she was 9 months old. What I have always loved about the class is the consistent dedication to learning in a fun atmosphere. We sing all the traditional French songs that my husband grew up with and when we visit Annabel's grandparents in France they are so thrilled that she can sing along with them. They also work on colors, vocabulary and art... and the development in just a few short months is amazing. MKI 's family of teachers and students make it such a wonderful place to be.

I love Musical Kids International. There really is no other place like it in the city. The atmosphere is very professional and comfortable ( there are colorful rugs with toys and books in all different languages) and they often provide coffee to the parents ( a nice touch!). The teachers are truly phenomenal, coming from some truly remarkable schools and all are native speakers of whichever language you are taking the class in!!!!! They also have a new Immersion Preschool program which is SO CUTE and integrates the arts and learning. I would recommend MKI to any Manhattan mommy!

My daughter began Kindergarden this month. She speaks fluent Russian and English and some Spanish. She has recently learned some French. We signed her up first for classes at MKI starting at the age of 6 months. Since 2004 we have never missed a semester of charming and educational bi-lingual classes. I attribute much of our daughter's success to her time at MKI. Recently she announced that the only school she would really like to attend is Yolanda's school.

This program is of the highest caliber and the class has brought us tremendous joy. Attending has truly been the highlight of our week. To our complete amazement, our precious 18 month old, has learned how to put things away through the musical clean-up activity done in class.

We have been completely impressed by the expertise in, and integration of, early language development, early childhood development, and early musical development; the class progresses seamlessly! The teachers are also kind, loving, and gentle and clearly committed to each child's development.
In these contemporary times, it is hard to find experiences that offer quality, integrity, and lasting value. In this regard, the program is a rare treasure. It provides tremendous benefits to our children in this increasingly complex world, imparting knowledge of language and music. It teaches the youngest generation the essence of discipline, communication, and respect for others; it offers a profound experience in creating and exploring the very fabric of life. It is giving our toddler the world!

After four years with Musical Kids International, Yolanda and her staff feel like an extended family. Both my children have always looked forward to attending MKI classes. MKI has fostered my children's love of music and learning in a warm and nurturing environment. THe low student-teacher ratios foster a feeling of intimacy and help children develop confidence in a non competitive classroom environment. I've been surprised by how much my children have retained from these classes, including more advanced musical concepts such as rhythm, pace and dynamics. I highly recommend the Musical Kids Experience.

Musical Kids International was a marvelous introduction for both of my daughters to the world of music. They each (now 5 and 3.5) started as babies and carried on until their preschool years. My oldest still goes as a "visitor" with her cousin because she misses the classes so much. The exposure to rhythms, movement, instruments and the sounds of other cultures was absolutely fabulous! I will forever hold MKI in my heart. I remember vividly how exciting it was to watch the girls as infants learn the routines, move their bodies to the melodies, and want to be a part of these classes so much. I feel a void now that they are no longer there. These were our favorite classes during the first years of life, and an unparalleled introduction to sound. I will always remember Yolanda telling us that these classes emulated the way life used to be--the sounds of a guitar, families coming together to listen to music, the pace of life in another generation. The group that she has put together is precisely that -- a modern "family" which brings together the passion for music, the love of teaching and the warmth of a community that we all feel very much a part of.

I was so impressed with the different classes that Musicals Kids has to offer,that I enrolled my daughter for most of them. They are different, creative and most of all FUN!!Yolanda Bricard is a master at what she does and she only chooses the best music teachers in town to teach the children. I really recommend this program, if you want your child to really learn music and enjoy it at the same time this is the place to go.
