Best family friendly place in Seattle!! I love it. They have real NY H&H bagels too.

My Coffeehouse has been great for family and kid since I first go there with my kids. Starting next Monday, they are starting something new they call community monday where you can get really cheap bagels and coffee every Monday, something like $2.00 for latte and $1.50 for bagel and cream cheese. For the quality of the coffee and bagels they offer, this is a killer price. You can't find this anywhere else in Seattle. You can get the details from their website - www.mycoffeehouseseattle.com. I went there often for the great customer service, great coffee, great bagel and a great time for me and my kids. Monday will be a bonus for us.

love this place. great for kids and family. people work there are great. I have noticed that their customer service have improved a lot from last year. Met the owners, very young couple. They are so sweet and have a good heart. So friendly. Now offer free story time, violin tutor, website, punch card (I file my card in the store, don't even need to bring it with me) to earn free coffee or tea. They just added non-wheat bakery products just for kids who cannot eat wheat products. Love this place!!

This place is well stocked with toys and makes excellent lattes. I don't agree with the other reviewers about the staff not being tuned in with the kids. The person working there this morning (apparently the manager) was excellent! He was very understanding, patient, and great with the children. I am definitely going back and telling other people about this place. But do clean up after your kids, folks. Places like this won't last without the cooperation of conscientious parents.

I like taking my 15 mo old son to this kid-friendly coffee shop, but I'm always disappointed by the service. The staff seem irritated and annoyed. To market your business as family-friendly, but then to hire folks who are not friendly is just odd. (note, we did finally encounter one amiable gal on a late Sat afternoon so I can only hope she's working again the next time we go.)

This cafe is my favorite place to go with my twins, now almost 11 mos., ever since they learned to crawl. I agree with other comments that the staff could be more family-friendly, although I've had mediocre to good experiences and not bad. They've been helpful when I've had child-related messes or questions. They sell Cheerios, Goldfish, and other child-friendly snacks. One major complaint - the bathroom toilet doesn't have a lid. While I was changing one of my baby's diapers on the changing table, my other baby stuck her hand into the toilet before I could catch her, and into her mouth before I could wash her hand. Two days later she came down sick with vomitting and diarrhea, and two days later everyone else in the family got the same illness. Dad got so sick he needed to be rehydrated at the hospital, where they diagnosed us with Norwalk's, an illness contracted by comsuming feces or urine from an ill person (if they don't wash hands and prepare food, for example) or by breathing aerosolized particles from vomit that shows symptoms 1 to 2 days after comsuming the virus. Watch out for this health hazard if you have two children young enough to stick hands into toilets in the bathroom. Next time I will tie a sling around the other baby's waist and tether her to my belt or the doorknob. The trashcan in the bathroom was also just an open wastebin overflowing with dirty paper towels, but my babies were too fascinated with the toilet to get into it. And a smaller complaint - there are some stairs (3 or 4) in the play area. My girls are old enough to crawl up stairs safely, but not old enough to crawl back down them safely. At the top there were older children's books they tried to rip the pages from. This made it hard for me to relax, since I had to make sure they didn't fall down the stairs or rip pages. It was still more fun than a coffee shop without all the toys and other kids, but removing the raised area and putting the older-kid books higher off of the ground would make a visit to My Coffee House much more enjoyable for parents of explorative crawlers. I still give this place a four-star. It is one of the few cafes that has a great place for kids to play with lots of fun toys, and I will definately go back on a regular basis - probably once or twice a month - despite living about 15 miles away. If you have children under six months or don't mind spending a *lot* of money for your children's play, I would recommend the Child's Play Cafe in Bellevue. The environment is better and service is friendly, but $7 per hour per child for children over walking age is obscenely expensive (half as much for 6 mos. to walking) - plus cost of your own drink or food and any snacks!

I agree the set up is great, but the service is sullen to say the least. Plus I left a shirt there once and when I called to come back and get it was told, "Oh if you left a nice shirt I'm sure one of the staff probably took it home. If you see them wearing it you can ask for it back though." Gee, thanks.

we were at my coffee house recently and really liked it. quite a big play area with an abundance of toys. kids enjoyed themselves thoroughly. you can tell someone put a lot of thougt and love into this project. so therefore: 4 stars. but: the staff is almost unfriendly, to serve more than 2 people put them to their limits. the music was more for a place for twenty-somethings with a preference for rock and indie pop. a little rough for a place with a lot of kids between 0-3 years... the coffee was good. the menu could hold more items for a snack. all in all a place we were waiting for with room for improvement. :-)

When visiting My Coffee House lately it occurred to me that they need some moms behind the counter because the two people who were behind the counter were sullen-faced and seemed to dislike being around so many kids and moms.

I went here with my daughter and she really enjoyed it. The only bad thing I could say about this family friendly coffee house is that I spilled my coffee and the person working there literally ignored it and when I asked for something to clean it up with she sighed and handed me a wet rag without comment.

I just visited with my 15mos old daughter and husband this weekend. What a great place!! The coffee and bagels were delicious and we all had a great time watching the kids play. There is a great assortment of toys for the kids and magazines for the folks. We will definitely be returning--particularly on those rainy Seattle days when we all need to get out.

I recently stumbled across this absolutely amazing coffee shop. I have two babies that I care for, and feel totally comfortable sipping a latte while allowing them to play. The play area is clean, and there are tons of toys to entertain them. The owner used to be a school teacher, and you can tell by the way she has designed the play area. There is a reading loft with tons of books and a magnetic wall, and toys to nurture all kinds of development. I only wish there were more coffee shops like this one all around town! I live in Everett, and would love to see one open there.

It's a great place. I only wish they'd offer a few more items that my daughter will eat.

...for toddlers and moms alike. However, one thing I really wish they'll consider adding is Wi-fi.
