Elaborate murder mysteries, treasure hunts, an acting fun-fest, fortune telling, magicians and clowns, henna parties, tarot/palm and tea-leaf parties, puppet shows, and fairy-tale theme parties are only a few of the options offered by Mystery & Mayhem.
The company is best known for murder mysteries, which professional actress and former teacher Judy Rosenblatt writes herself. Kids are given characters to portray in advance of the party, and two or three adults, impersonating detectives, arrive on party day to run the investigation.
Parties also include four-page print-outs (with the story line, descriptions of the characters, and costume hints), invitations, and gifts of a crystal and pouch during the closing "crystal ceremony."
Mystery & Mayhem also offers special Bar/Bat Mitzvah, Sweet Sixteen, Communion, and other parties.
