about Naper Settlement:

Naperville's outdoor history museum village tells the story of daily life in the city as it changed from a simple frontier outpost to a bustling turn-of-the-century community.

The paths of the 13-acre village, located in downtown Naperville, meander past more than 30 buildings, including an early log house and the Martin Mitchell Mansion (listed on the National Register of Historic Places).

Children can climb on a Conestoga wagon, visit Fort Payne, drop in for a class in the one-room school house, and tour the working blacksmith and print shops.

Naper Settlement also offers week-long adventure camp programs from mid-June through the first week of August, for students in grades 1-6.
