The National Aquarium in Baltimore is a fantastic place to visit. With three pavilions and five floors to explore, it boasts over 16,000 animals, including those found in a tropical rainforest, an Atlantic coral reef, the deep ocean, and Australia. Special programs include a dolphin show and a number of "immersion" tours, such as dolphin encounters, behind-the-scenes tours, and sleepovers.
As the Aquarium is Maryland's top paid tourist attraction, it is always a good idea to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets are timed-entry, so even if you buy them the day of your visit, you may have to wait a few hours before you can enter.
Membership offers numerous benefits, including unlimited admission all year long, discounts at Aquarium shops and restaurants, and discounts for Aquarium programs and events.
