Originally known as the National Atomic Museum, The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History tells the story of the atomic age, from early research to modern day use and the future of nuclear energy. It is a Congressionally chartered museum featuring several permanent exhibits, including photographs, displays and models on Madame Curie and Einstein, The Manhattan Project, WWII, and more.
Science is Everywhere camps are offered during the winter, spring, and summer breaks. The camps are geared toward children between the ages of six and 13.
The museum's store carries merchandise related to nuclear physics and the history of atomic energy.
Individual and family memberships can be purchased. Members receive free admission to the museum, a subscription to the museum's newsletter, a 10% discount at the Museum Gift Store, invitations to member only events, and free admission to over 200 science museums across the country.
