The 70 minute walking tour of the NBC complex may open the eyes of the television maniacs in your brood. Subject to availability, you might go behind the scenes at The Tonight Show, Days of Our Lives, or any number of other NBC productions. You'll take a peek into wardrobe, watch a video demonstration on makeup, and maybe even spot a star or two. Tours depart at regular intervals. Weekends and extended hours are sometimes available during summer and holiday seasons. The best part for kids is the chance to try out the special effects blue screen, and fly like Superman, or participate in the tour's Trivia Time game show. If you'd like to be part of the audience during a show taping, you can either appear in person (free tickets are given out daily at the NBC ticket counter on a first-come/first-served basis), or you can request up to 4 tickets by mail by writing to NBC Tickets, 3000 W. Alameda Avenue, Burbank, CA 91523. Include show name, number of tickets, date(s) desired, and a stamped, self-addressed envelope. Bear in mind that the minimum age for Tonight Show tickets is 16.
