Ned Baumer Aquatic Center, located on the Miramar College campus, is a perennial kids favorite "swimming hole." The Center has three heated pools: a large wading pool filled with buckets that dump water, a mini-slide, and water nozzles that squirt every which way; a larger play pool that includes a lengthy water slide; and an eight-laned lap pool. Swim lessons, swim leagues, and youth water polo are offered at the Center. The pool grounds and dressing rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the life-guards keep a good eye on the kids.
getting there:
From I-15 North, exit on Carroll Canyon Road, turn left on Black Mountain Road, right into second entrance past Gold Coast Drive. Pool is on campus of Miramar College.
