Colorful lighted signage from the 1940's to the present comprise the collections of the
Neon Museum, an institution that strives to preserve some of the city's renowned glitz and spectacle.
The museum sponsors nearly one dozen refurbished signs in outdoor "galleries" downtown which can be seen 'round the clock on a
self-guided walking tour. Several signs are also on display at
Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort State Historic Park. Unrestored signs are housed at the facility's "Boneyard"; tours of this area are available by advance appointment only.
The museum also offers
educational programming that revolves around history, design, and popular culture within Las Vegas.
