Let me tell you about Ja-Mar,(better known as Jane). Being from the deep south we tend to name people we like with names of endearment ..thus Ja-Mar. I brought my boys to NYC last October mainly to see the city and to watch our friend Eli play for the giants.Ja-Mar was recommended to me by a friend and I am so thankful that I listened. We spent the day with Jane and my boys are still talking about it. Jane's knowledge of the city is remarkable. There are so many things that I thought I knew about the city, but I was amazed at how little I knew when I learned the facts from Jane. More importantly, Jane kept the boys fascinated the whole day. They have both said they cannot wait to come back as long as "Ja-Mar" will take us to the places we did not get to before. If you decide to take my advice and utilize Jane's service I feel obligated to tell you to wear your most comfortable walking shoes and be in pretty good shape cause Ja-Mar will walk you down. She is wonderful. If you want to learn about the city, then spend at least one day with Ja-Mar! Bill Windham

We were just in NYC and spent the day with Jane. She took two ten year old twin boys on a tour they will always remember. Only public transportation, they LOVED the subways. Jane had everyone in the Subway cars laughing and smiling before we reached our stops. We saw the real NYC for the first time and loved it. When we return, we shall have Jane show us around again. Jane was extremely knowledgeable & very engaging; her sly sense of NYC humor ("we are high density people here, you are low-density people in Texas...") magically brought New York City to life for an audience of young and old alike. The kids marveled at her colorful stories and personalized attention, and we all walked away from our 3 hour tour appreciating the city, its diversity, its history a bit more.

...having Jane serve as our Guide in New York City on April 20. She did a fantastic job in sharing the city she loves with us and giving us a feel what it is to be a resident of Manhatten. She kept our students and adults interested all day. I am thankful Jane was recommended to us and that we were able to obtain her services. She is a true "tour goddess" and I would recommend her without reservation.

We have taken school groups to the city six times and we wouldn't have any other guide than Jane. She is one of a kind to be sure. She is very knowledgeable about the city (since she's a native), quite intelligent,educated, charming and entertaining. We can't say enough good about her. My wife and I (both public school teachers) have just completed our sixth trip to NYC with middle school through high school students as well as adults. Jane Marx is a MUST for us. We have been known to change our trip dates so we are assured of having Jane as our guide. Jane will entertain as she teaches. Everyone on the trip laughs as they learn and not only sees New York but experiences all of its history, architecture, energy and culture. We have repeat travelers every year largely due to Jane. Whether traveling to New York with your family or with a group of 52 like ours, Jane Marx should be your first and only tour guide choice.

Jane Marx has been our group tour guide in New York City for six years. We travel with middle school students and their parents. Jane really knows her stuff, teaching us about the city she loves while having fun along the way. She's a one-of-a- kind teacher who loves being around students! We wouldn't want any other guide while in NYC!

Jane delivers a unique experience! Her universal appeal, delivery and ability to reach everyone she interacts with, young, old and in between is unparalleled. No other tour will be as animated, hilarious or memorable. You're denying yourself a phenomenal treat if you see NY under any other circumstances. In this instance, there is no such thing as 'over-hype' - she will deliver everytime!

Our family was on a spring break "Broadway Show" trip. We saw four wonderful shows. Fortunately we also had scheduled a full day to see NY City with Jane. Our request was to see the NY we would miss if just relying on a tour book. At the time, our children were around 10 and 13. Jane met us at our hotel, wearing a cool Louisville Slugger jacket. The tour started immediately with information on why there are clocks on the outside of buildings in the City & is Times Square a square. My favorite building? -- The Cathedral of Commerce. Church - St. John's the Divine. Adventure - subway to Harlem and the Appolo Theatre. She'll take you everywhere and has a story about almost everything!

Jane Marx offers an eccentric, wacky, fun way of experiencing New York City. This tour offers everything from history to landmarks to advice on life to even how to in fact be a New Yorker. She is truly one of the most unique and entertaining people that I have ever come into contact with. Jane offers a piece of herself with every tour that she does, and by the end of the day you really feel that you know this woman. She is truly one of the best that New York has to offer.
