The Children's Area at the Newtown Public Library is to the right of the main entrance and near the reading patio. A computer is available especially for the kids. Ongoing storytimes are available for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, and there is a special nighttime pajama storytime for children ages three and up. There are also book discussion groups for juniors (grades three to six) and teens (grades seven to 12), and family events. Call or check the website for the schedule.
tips:
Children can Dial-A-Story and listen to a two- to four-minute story that changes every week. This free service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call 610.891.8625.
