If ten-year-olds ruled the world, we'd all be living at Nickelodeon Suites Resort. As you'd expect, it's family- and kid-friendly in the extreme.

Parents can choose from rooms with one-, two- or three-bedroom KidSuites with decor that features different Nickelodeon characters, including a choice of bunk beds or twin beds. All rooms have multiple TVs, and a kitchen or kitchenette.

There's so much to do on the hotel grounds that parents may actually have trouble luring the kids away to visit the local theme parks (although free shuttle service is available). The hotel's "Lagoon" pool has a four-story watertower, a 400-gallon dump tank, and seven slides and flumes. The "Oasis" pool features less intimidating flumes and smaller slides. Even toddlers and babies have a water play area.

Energetic recreation teams lead kids through all kinds of daily programming, including poolside crafts and game shows. At 4:45pm each day, kids can participate in a mass sliming at the slide tower, located at the Lagoon pool.

Not into aquatics? Then opt for the basketball courts, gaming in the 3,000-square-foot arcade, or mini-golf. "Dive-in" movies are shown pool-side on a weekly basis. Check the schedule when you arrive.

The centrally-located food court includes fast food options such as Subway and Uno's Pizza.

Parents can also sign up for the Nick after Dark program; kids ages five to 12 hang with Nick staff (and some surprise guests) for dinner and activities while parents take a little "just us" time.

Laundry facilities are clean and bright and reasonably priced.

Internet access is ethernet, not wireless, but it is free.

Security at the hotel is truly amazing. At check-in guests are issued orange wristbands, which must be worn throughout the stay. Non-guests are not permitted on hotel grounds and are easily identified without those orange bands. The parking lot is accessible only by room card; a guard is situated at the gate to check names for hotel reservations when guests first arrive.
