This is a real case of Doctor """Mal-Practice""" at the Night Lite Pediatric Urgent Care center, and they refused to hear or respond to the claim. Here is the full story:

On Tuesday of August 23rd, my son had the Diarrhea and Fever and we bought him to the Night Lite Pediatrics urgent care at 7556 Sand Lake Road at about 8 or 9PM. One Doctor in this office performed an examination/check on my son and said that he had a “Little” Ear Infection, then prescripted the anti-biotic Amoxicillin 400mg/5mL Oral susp (2 times per Day, 2.5 Milliliters each time) and Tylenol (1.3ml every 4 hours). Then, I asked him what should I give him for Diarrhea, he recommended “FloraStor”.

After 3-4 days, the Diarrhea became more severed, he pooped (diarrheas) 6 times in one morning. We brought him to his Pediatric. After a very careful Ear examination, she said there was no sign of Ear Infection and told us to stop giving him the anti-biotic Amoxicillin which caused the Diarrhea worse. She also gave us the containers to collect his stools and brought them to the lab (Quest Diagnostics). She told us to continue giving him “FloraStor”.

About 4-5 days after stopping giving him anti-biotic Amoxicillin and continued giving him FloraStor”, he was recovered from the Diarrhea.


So, I highly think that this doctor has wrongly given my son the unneccessary anti-biotic Amoxillin, while he had “no sign of Ear Infection”, which caused him the more severed Diarrhea. As a doctor, he had to know that anti-biotic was bad for diarrhea and he still prescipted anti-biotic to my son that caused him suffered from the severed Diarhea.

This doctor tried to give us a "prescription", so he could charge us """""$500""""" for the visit.

I've contacted two of the office managers by emails, by phone. They refused to respond.

*** This kind of "after hour" doctor offices opened just for making extra money, not very helpful. Call your pediatric telephone number, you'd be connected to the one of the on-call nurse of the day. Don't waste your time & your money for this kind of doctor office. ***

What a horrible experience today. I have been to the Nite Lite on West Colonial before and never had issues. However, their receptionist upfront today was totally helpless and couldn't verify basic information. I had to pay out of pocket when we have a health fund established that I have paid through before in their location. This has NEVER happened to me in any doctor's office including this location. I will go to After Hours next time. Today's experience was horrible.

Untrained, uncaring, not that clean, substandard health care, unresponsive to regular pediatrician. A negative experience.

We took our 4 month old infant in with a high fever when our pediatrician told us to go to the ER. We didn't want to deal with an ER waiting room and we are so glad we chose Nightlites. They have admiting rights to the hosp. so if he did need to be hospitalized they could get him in. They were all quick and kind and wonderful to work with! I'll recommend them to all my friends!

Night Lite addressed our previous complaints.

Night Lite Pediatrics really saved the day for me and my son. He was running and fell and broke his arm. We went straight to Night lite. The wait was minimal and when we got back they really helped my son to feel better. It was a bad break. They stablized his arm and got us in to Jewett Orthopedic first thing the next morning to set it and put a hard cast on. I would never have been able to get into Jewett without Night Lite. I highly recommend them to any parent. It was so much better than going to the emergency room and waiting forever. Thank you Night Lite!

Excellent alternative to ER! We have been to Night Lite Pediatrics 3 times with 2 kids and always had a positive experience. I recommend them to everyone I know.
