A low-key pizza joint with big leather booths that can comfortably accommodate squirmy children. The pizza is good and delivered quickly to your table, usually with a smile. The place is generally full of families, and yet it's quiet enough that you can hear each other speak.
Nothing fancy here; the decor is low-lit, the walls almost bare. But Noe Valley Pizza can usually be counted on for a pleasant meal with the kids.

My friend, daughter (4 years old) and I spontaneously
decided to pop in Noe Valley Pizza for a bite. We were
dressed casually (Abercrombie style) and at the door we
were met by an older gentleman who asked if we needed a
high chair. My daughter said she wanted a high chair and
we were seated at a 2 person table with high chair on
the side. I understand not being seated in a booth as
the high chair would protrude into the main aisle.
My daughter agreed to sit in a booth because the table
was just too cluttered. I stood up and told the waitress
that we felt too cluttered and that we'd like to move to
a booth. (3 booths and 6 other tables open). The
waitress told us to follow her and she started taking us
to a booth.
The older gentleman came back to us in transit and said
sorry that we could move toward the back of the
restaurant but we still had to sit at the 2 person
table. I told him that we'd like a booth and he repeated
himself. It was obvious that there was something else
going on here besides the size of our party and not
being seated in a booth. There was a mother and daughter
sitting at a booth and another couple seated at another.
The waitress apologized to us with sincerity. I said
we'll go somewhere else and he actually said 'thank
you.' I am so frustrated and offended I can hardly
believe it. Did we not look like we could afford this
meal? Was it because we're Asian?
By the way I peaked in his window later and that big
crowd never did seem to show...wonder why.
