As befitting a store that started out selling shoes, the shoe department offers full fitting services with skilled salespeople, and well-known brands like Elefanten, Hush Puppies, and Dr. Martens. Mini Tevas or rubber fireman boots? Tiny bowling shoes or Mary Janes with chunky soles? If they make them, this is the place to find them. Kids fitted with their first pair of Stride-Rites at Nordstrom are presented with a picture of the event and a Nordy stuffed toy.
